Our guided walk begins in Njegoš Park in Cetinje, leading to significant sites like the monument to Ivan Crnojević and the Montenegro Museum’s Art Museum, housing extensive collections including the Virgin of Philermos. The tour continues with visits to the Lovćenska Vila monument, the Miodrag Dado Đurić Art Gallery, and a local artists' studio where artworks are available for purchase. We conclude with a tasting of Montenegrin specialties at a nearby restaurant and a stroll through the old town to admire its historic architecture.

  • Our walk starts from Njegoš Park in Cetinje, a royal park of the Petrović Njegoš family. The first stop is the monument to Ivan Crnojević, the founder of Cetinje. Next, we head to the Art Museum, which is part of the Montenegro Museum and housed in the grand government building. Its main section includes 5 collections that we will explore today, including the indispensable icon of the Virgin of Philermos located in the Blue Chapel of the Historical Museum (optional). After visiting the museum, we proceed to the monument of Lovćenska Vila, and then visit the Miodrag Dado Đurić Art Gallery, which celebrates and promotes contemporary artists. We will also stop by a small studio of local artists offering a diverse range of artistic styles, where you can purchase beautiful works at affordable prices. Finally, we head to a nearby restaurant for a tasting of local Montenegrin specialties. Our tour concludes with a walk towards the old town core, where we will admire the architecture of the buildings.
