Overview

At 9:00 AM, we meet at the Njegoš Park parking lot and start with a tour of Cetinje's historic center, including the church on Ćipur, Cetinje Monastery, Biljarda - Njegoš Museum, and King Nikola's Palace. After a tasting of local specialties, wines, and rakija, we head to Rijeka Crnojevića for a walk along the riverfront and a boat ride on Lake Skadar. The tour concludes with an optional lunch in Rijeka Crnojevića and a return to Cetinje.

  • At 9:00 AM, we meet at the large parking lot by Njegoš Park, next to the tourist info point. We start with a tour of Cetinje's historic center, beginning with the church on Ćipur (the old court church of King Nikola), followed by a visit to the Cetinje Monastery (entry is free and depends on the time and interest of the group). Next, we tour Biljarda - the Njegoš Museum, and then visit King Nikola's Palace, where you'll experience the royal ambiance with numerous exhibits from the private life of King Nikola and the royal family. After that, we'll stop at a charming local spot for refreshments, and a tasting of authentic Cetinje national specialties, including wines and rakija from Cetinje wineries. From there, we head to Rijeka Crnojevića, a fishing town on the shore of Lake Skadar. The town was founded in the 15th century by Ivan Crnojević, the ruler of Zeta and the founder of Cetinje. A walk along the riverfront of Rijeka Crnojevića and a boat ride on Lake Skadar follow. Upon returning from the boat ride, lunch can be arranged at one of the restaurants in Rijeka Crnojevića (optional). We then return to Cetinje, where the tour concludes.
