- Grlje Canyon is a uniquely extreme canyon located at the foot of the Prokletije mountains in Vusanje, at the entrance to the Ropojanska Valley. It resembles a sinkhole, making it the most extreme canyon in Montenegro and not recommended for beginners. From the very entrance, marked by a large basin into which a waterfall plunges, the mystical interior of the Grlje River Canyon takes you on a multi-hour 3D virtual adventure, ending in a peaceful village where you return to reality. Along its 500-meter length, the canyon features waterfalls, natural basins, water currents, narrow passages through vertical cliffs over 60 meters high, and dark siphons. Combined with a low water temperature of around 3°C and the time needed to traverse it, this canyoning adventure is particularly challenging. The canyon can only be safely navigated for one or two months a year, from mid-August to the end of October, due to high water levels. In the event of adverse weather conditions, high water levels in the canyon, or other objective reasons, the guide reserves the right to change the schedule or cancel the tour.
