  • Not far from Sveti Stefan lies the metropolis of Montenegrin tourism - Budva. This highly sought-after tourist destination is known for its numerous sandy beaches and vibrant nightlife, as well as the large stone walls of the Old Town, reminiscent of a medieval fortress. After visiting Budva, we head to Cetinje. Cetinje, the old royal capital of Montenegro, is situated at the base of Mount Lovćen at an altitude of 670 meters and is known as a museum city due to its fascinating architecture and numerous historical monuments, churches, and museums. Then we proceed to the small and charming village of Njeguši, located at 900 meters above sea level, the birthplace of the great ruler, writer, and philosopher Petar II Petrović Njegoš, as well as the most famous Montenegrin family, the Petrović family. Petar II Petrović Njegoš is buried in a mausoleum on top of Mount Lovćen, which is an essential part of tourist routes in this village. During the reign of the Ottoman Empire, the village of Njeguši was the only route connecting the cities of Cetinje and Kotor, and Europe with the rest of the world. Besides its historical significance, Njeguši is known for its meat and dairy products, so all visitors can taste traditional Montenegrin cuisine while relaxing in centuries-old stone taverns. After visiting Njeguši, we return to Kotor.
