Full description
  • The most beautiful way to explore Lake Skadar is by kayaking, which is why we take you on a wonderful tour through the hidden parts of Lake Skadar National Park. You will enjoy the natural scenery, greenery, and lush vegetation as you paddle through the Karatuna and Biševina rivers to Mali Blato. We start the tour under the bridge in the village of Ponari, about 20 minutes' drive from Podgorica. We paddle through Šegrtnica, a narrow channel only a few meters wide, densely vegetated and dotted with water lilies, making it a paradise for kayakers and nature enthusiasts. We pass by Žabljak Crnojevića and the branch of the little Morača, then enter Biševina. Biševina is a clean and small flatland river that flows out of Mali Blato, a gem of Lake Skadar. We take a break for relaxation and enjoyment on the beach at Biševina. The tour concludes at Žabljak Crnojevića, where we use the rest of the day to explore the remains of the medieval town and fortress. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the fortress, which offers a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Skadar and its surroundings. The tour is suitable for those with lower fitness levels, and throughout the route, the river is calm with almost no current. No prior kayaking experience is required, as instructors conduct a brief training session before starting, and the kayaks we use are "sit on top" tandems, which are very stable and safe, thus suitable for beginners. In case of adverse weather conditions on the water or other unforeseen reasons, the guide reserves the right to modify or shorten the route. Duration: 8km, 3 hours of paddling.
