Overview

The journey begins with a visit to Žabljak Crnojevića and the abandoned Crnojević family castle. We then proceed to the village of Virpazar and Besac Fortress for a panoramic view of Lake Skadar. Next, we take a scenic route around the lake with a stop at the Macalov Hill viewpoint, near the village of Rijeka Crnojevića, one of the oldest settlements with a rich cultural heritage. We conclude with a wine and local product tasting at a traditional winery in Montenegro.

  • The pleasant journey first leads us to Žabljak Crnojevića, where we will visit the abandoned castle of the Montenegrin royal family, the Crnojevićs. Later, we continue to the village of Virpazar and Besac Fortress to enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Skadar with a drink at the fortress. We then proceed to the scenic route around Lake Skadar and make a short stop at the Macalov Hill viewpoint. From this point, we are close to the village of Rijeka Crnojevića, one of the oldest Montenegrin settlements with the Old Bridge, ethnic restaurants, and cultural heritage. After a brief walk through the village, we continue to observe the Crnojevića River from the Pavlova Strana viewpoint, which offers the best panoramic view in the entire country. After taking several photographs, we will indulge in wine tasting at one of the best wineries in Montenegro with a centuries-old tradition of wine production and listen to the story of winemaking directly from the winery owner. Alongside wine, we will sample delicious products such as Njeguški cheese and prosciutto to reset our palates for tasting many wines, rakija (brandies), and liqueurs. Just keep in mind that the wines of this winery are completely natural without any preservatives and additives! Everything is homemade! Note: Suitable for children accompanied by a parent or guardian.
