Overview

The Milović Winery is located in Ulcinj, a sunny town on the Montenegrin coast with a rich winemaking tradition. Our vineyards, comprising 18,000 vines, along with olive groves with 250 olive trees and 2,000 mandarin trees, make up our complex. In our wine cellar, we produce around 20,000 bottles of wine annually, using high-quality grapes from our vineyards. In the pleasant ambiance of the wine cellar, you can enjoy our wines, which have won numerous gold medals at prestigious international competitions.

  • In the southernmost part of the Adriatic coast, in Ulcinj, the sunniest city of the Montenegrin coast where grapevines have been cultivated for centuries, lie the vineyards and winery of the Milović family. Besides the vineyards (18,000 vines), the complex includes olive groves (250 trees) and mandarin orchards (2,000 trees). In the wine cellar, approximately 20,000 bottles of high-quality wine are produced annually from grapes harvested from these vineyards. In the beautiful setting of the wine cellar, you'll enjoy our award-winning wines, which have received numerous Grand Gold and Gold medals at prestigious international competitions. **WINE STATUS** Honoring tradition and employing modern technology, we transform Vranac grapes from our vineyards into our "Status" wine, delighting connoisseurs of fine wine. Wines from the Ulcinj area have long been renowned and esteemed. To maintain tradition and preserve the quality of this region's wines, we dedicate everything to the production of "Status" wine: grape varieties, agricultural techniques, processing technology, and the marketing of the product under its original name and vineyard designation, along with the protection of its geographical origin. Wine enthusiasts will find in STATUS wine all the beauty of the south—gifts of Vranac grapes, Mediterranean sun, and earth. This powerful, robust southern wine, with its intense ruby red color, aroma, and flavor of red forest fruits, will awaken all your senses and will always be a favorite to drink. It pairs excellently with all kinds of meats, barbecue, roasts, pies, risotto with Parmesan, and mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 18-20°C. **WINE STATUS BARRIQUE** From selected grapes harvested from our own vineyards at Briska Gora, Milović winery has produced VRANAC – STATUS BARRIQUE, a varietal wine of premium quality. This dark ruby-red wine has an excellent structure, rich aroma, and a lasting bouquet and taste that make it original and distinctive. It retains all the best characteristics of the Vranac variety grown under abundant sunshine on typical Mediterranean soil. Aged in the finest quality oak barrels, it has developed scents and aromas of exceptional delicacy. Its recognizable vanilla scent, aromas of red forest fruits, and a slight taste of chocolate make this wine special, and one you will always enjoy drinking. It pairs ideally with smoked and dried meats, rich full-fat cheeses, smoked fish, and all kinds of roasts. Serve at a temperature of 18-20°C. **WINE STATUS BARRIQUE 2008 – SELECT HARVEST** Milović Winery has enriched its assortment of wines with a new wine for special occasions and moments - Status Barrique 2008 – select harvest. Selected Vranac grapes from the best positions of the Milović vineyard complex have been transformed into this special wine, preserving tradition while also applying modern technology. Aged in the finest oak barrels, the wine has developed pleasant aromas of vanilla and burnt oak. Rich aromas of ripe raspberries and sweet cranberries that dominate this wine blend seamlessly with velvety tannins into an impressive finish that rounds out the experience of an exceptionally harmonious wine. Recommended with steak, all red meat dishes, prosciutto, game, spicy dishes, mature cheeses, chocolate. Serve at a temperature of 18-20°C. **WINE STATUS RESERVE 2007** Status Reserve 2007 – a wine with rich aromas and delicate structure that makes it exceptional. A luxurious, proud, and characterful red wine where the Vranac variety shows its character. This character is given by the climate and soil, that unique harmony that reigns in this region. By applying modern technology, we've preserved this harmony and produced a wine of active action, rounded tannins, rich and complex, perfectly balanced with aromas of ripe berry fruits and a beautiful vanillin character. Serve with red meat, game meat, and cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 18-22°C. **VINO CODEX** A superior red wine, complex and pleasant in scent with aromas of ripe fruit. On the palate, it is soft, well-rounded, and drinkable. Recommended with all white meat dishes, pasta, pizza, lasagna, grilled dishes, red meat dishes. Serve at a temperature of 18-20°C. This activity includes a tasting of three types of wine of your choice, accompanied by an appetizer.
