  • We begin our boat ride by passing through the narrow channels of the Crmnica River, which leads from Virpazar to the open lake, a vast area that offers the first encounter with the infinity of the lake. Here, in the distance, we can see the other part of the lake connecting with Albania, and it's possible to spot their mountains. The main and additional attraction of this three-hour trip is a visit to one of the most beautiful monasteries, called Kom. Join us to experience a cruise on the beautiful waters of Lake Skadar. Observe different species of birds and listen to the sounds of nature as we make our way to the Kom monastery. Passing through small channels and fields of water lilies, we arrive at a small island. At the top of this island is the Kom monastery. We disembark from the boat to visit this medieval monastery, which is a 15-minute walk away. Upon arrival, there is a charming terrace where you can take some great photos and enjoy the incredible panoramic view of Lake Skadar. Spend some time enjoying the view of the surrounding mountains. The monastery was built in the 15th century by King Ivan Crnojević and is dedicated to the mother of Jesus Christ. The monastery also houses some of the best-preserved frescoes in the area. On the way back, you can stop and swim in the middle of the lake if you wish to experience it. This option allows you to feel in touch with nature. We end the boat ride by joining a small channel of the Crmnica River to return to the fishing village of Virpazar.
