  • Embark on a bird-watching cruise adventure on Lake Skadar and explore the world of wild birds in this unique natural treasure. Don't forget to bring your binoculars and camera to capture some of the most beautiful moments during the cruise. To help you easily visualize what this tour looks like, we have prepared an overview of the basic information about it, as well as the flow of the tour itself. Bird Paradise on Lake Skadar Lake Skadar National Park is the largest bird habitat in Europe, home to more than half of all bird species in Europe and also a haven for migratory birds. As you cruise the lake, you may spot the Dalmatian pelican, pygmy cormorant, yellow heron, or other rare bird species. Islands as Bird Sanctuaries The islands of Lake Skadar are true bird sanctuaries. Several islands are known for their rich fauna and flora, including Grmožur Island, known as the bird island, which hosts numerous bird species and nesting sites; and Beška Island, noted for its ancient monasteries and wild pigeons that inhabit it. Lake Skadar also features a range of smaller islands that serve as habitats for various bird species and plants. Return to Virpazar After enjoying bird watching, we return to our starting point - Virpazar. This boat ride through Lake Skadar leaves us with wonderful memories.
