This marks the start of our unforgettable cruise on Lake Skadar. Virpazar, located on the shores of Lake Skadar, has a long history as an important port and trading center. Additionally, Virpazar is known for its rich fishing tradition and culinary offerings, especially specialties made from freshly caught fish. Discovering Grmožur - Montenegro's Alcatraz During the cruise, we explore Grmožur, also known as Montenegro's Alcatraz, dating back to 1847. This landmark adds a special historical stamp to our journey on Lake Skadar. Grmožur served not only as a prison but also as a strategic military fortress in the past. Built to protect Lake Skadar from potential attacks, it was a key part of the area’s defense.
