Just outside the walls of Budva's Old Town lies the Ancient Necropolis, a silent testament to the city's millennia-old history. Discovered during hotel construction in the 1930s, this burial ground revealed over 450 graves spanning from the 4th century BC to the 2nd century AD. Artifacts unearthed include gold and silver jewelry, glassware, ceramics, and weapons, reflecting the diverse cultures that once thrived here. The necropolis comprises two main sections: the older Hellenistic part and the newer Roman segment. Some of the most exquisite finds are displayed in the Budva City Museum, while others reside in museums across the region.
