Savin Kuk – A Mountain Peak with a View to Eternity

Gallery

On the eastern edge of Durmitor, above the Jezerska plateau, rises Savin Kuk, a peak standing at 2,313 meters. Recognizable by its triangular shape, it dominates the landscape above Black Lake. Legend has it that Saint Sava found spiritual peace here, and the spring Savina Voda, located just below the summit, bears his name. Thanks to a chairlift that leads almost to the summit, Savin Kuk is among the most visited peaks of Durmitor. In winter, it transforms into a ski resort with slopes of varying difficulty, while in summer, it attracts hikers and nature enthusiasts. The view from the top encompasses Black Lake, black pine forests, and surrounding peaks, offering an unforgettable experience. Savin Kuk is a blend of natural beauty, history, and accessibility – a place where the mountain meets the soul.
