Zabljak tour guide
Zabljak

At the bottom of a deep valley between Durmitor and Mount Vojnik lies Sušičko Lake – a periodic glacial lake that fills with water in spring and early summer, only to nearly vanish by the end of the season. For this reason, it's often called the “disappearing lake.” Surrounded by steep cliffs and lush vegetation, Sušičko Lake forms a natural amphitheatre. Though temporary, when filled, its waters reflect the surrounding rocks and clouds, creating a dreamlike landscape. In earlier times, shepherd huts and trails passed through the Sušica valley, connecting villages across this rugged terrain. Today, the area attracts hikers and nature lovers – a place where water, stone, and silence paint the wild beauty of Durmitor.
